As Mary J. Blige prepares to release her 10th album, 'My Life II: The Journey Continues,' in September, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul appeared in a recent episode of VH1's 'Behind the Music' series, discussing her triumphant career and lengthy battle with alcoholism.
The VH1 rock doc, 'Behind the Music: Mary J. Blige' aired on Sunday (July 24), offering viewers an inside glimpse at Mary's rise to fame and struggle to maintain it, with featured commentary from husband Kendu Isaacs, sister LaTonya Blige Dacosta and music industry vets and life-long friends Diddy, Nas, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
